3. Apatheism

Despite not techinically being a religion, I'm including it on this list because it presents a very interesting counter point to the way people generally approach the question of religion and belief. Essentially it can be broken down like this: Theists believe in some sort of deity. Atheists believe that there is no deity of any kind. An Agnostic is generally the term given to someone who is unsure either way. Apatheists present an additional view. They do not care. Basically, they do not even consider the questions, feeling it is irrelevant to their every day lives. The idea of "Is there a God or isn't there?" can't be proven or disproven by any amount of arguing, so the Apatheists figure, why bother? If there are any deities, their existence does not actively affect the affect the lives of humans, so even proving that they exist would not affect us. So says the Apatheist.
