8 London Tourist Attractions That Make Absolutely No Sense

7. 221b Baker Street

Whereas a lot of the entries on this list don't make sense in a sort of conceptual way, 221b Baker Street doesn't make sense in a logical way. Like, there is no sense to be found regarding this fairly popular address, which doesn't actually exist, but also apparently does. Except it doesn't. 221b Baker Street was the place where Sherlock Holmes lived, of course - and at the time of writing, it was wholly fictional. Like Sherlock Holmes. Okay, so, if you feel the need to wrap your head around this for some reason, presumably because you're killing time in the toilet at work, or trying to spend less time with your wife, feel free to keep reading. Otherwise, just skip to the next entry, because your deserve better. Anyway, London decided to give The Sherlock Holmes Museum the address "221b Baker Street," even though it's located between 237 and 241. The location is therefore wrong. Which means that trying to find 221b Baker Street is, in a word, a "nightmare."
