5. Chocolate Could Be Good For The Brain

There€™s been a tonne of studies looking at the potential beneficial effects of antioxidant molecules called flavanols on the brain. As well as being found in high concentrations in cocoa and dark chocolate, they€™re present in large amounts in things like berries, wine, and green tea.

Studies have shown that consuming lots of cocoa flavanols might help reverse the memory decline we experience as we age, and could even help slow the progression of Alzheimer€™s disease, possibly due to the ability of these antioxidants to boost blood flow to the brain.
