9 Best Smartwatches You Must Buy In 2016

6. Pebble Steel

If you haven't heard about Pebble then you probably should take some interest in it. The company originally started on crowd-funding site Kickstarter and two years on and its range of smartwatches are easy on the eye as well as the pocket, so what's the catch? The Pebble Time Steel is thicker than its plastic alternatives, making it feel much more like a normal watch than geek accessory. The whole Pebble range sadly comes with a limited range of apps but will work across iOS and Android. On the plus side, the official line on its battery life is 'up to ten days' and most reviewers agree with that. The device has a colour e-paper screen which isn't as bright, sharp or dazzling as its rivals - but, you're making a choice about battery life here. It's not touchscreen either but if you just want to skip music tracks when you're walking to the bus, the four textured physical buttons are better on the Pebble Steel. Coming in at £229 It's also fairly mid-ranged which was a step up for the company but it has generally paid off.
