Despite the Apple Watch clearly being designed to appeal to the world's sense of style as much as its sense of technology, the end result has come out as something that's not really appealing to either. The look of the watch was designed to be one that blended a user interface that was big enough to use, with a sleek design that didn't just feel like you'd strapped your phone to your wrist. Initial testing reports claim that's it's just missed that target by a crucial few millimetres and ounces. The first time anyone saw an iPhone or an iPad, there was a sharp intake of breath and the whole world knew immediately that Apple had invented something that would change their lives. Now, everyone knows that smartwatches are pretty underwhelming and Apple's offering doesn't really showcase anything (either visually or technically) that isn't already out there.
