Disney Confirm Zootopia Land Opening At Shanghai Disneyland
Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are heading to China.
Disney's newest theme park, Shanghai Disneyland will soon be getting a Zootopia expansion.
Zootopia will become the 8th land at Shanghai Disneyland and will feature a "new major attraction". Guests will be able to "immerse themselves" in the world of the Academy award winning movie, with special merchandise, entertainment and themed food. I think we can be sure that there will be Nick Wilde's Pawpsicles available to enjoy.
So far there haven't been any details as to what we can expect from the new ride. In the announcement we have been told the ride will "seamlessly blend Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring this fan-favorite movie and its characters to life"
Shanghai Disneyland opened in 2016 and already has a reputation for creating incredibly impressive attractions. Pirates of the Caribbean: Battle for the Sunken Treasure is arguably one the most immersive ride that Disney has ever created. It's very exciting to see what Disney Imagineers come up with for the new Zootopia attraction.
Zootopia depicts a world where "“where anyone can be anything" and it will be nice to see how Disney captures that in this new land.
Construction is set to begin on the new land this year. Hopefully we won't have to wait too long to find out more about this exciting new development.
