Every Stephen King Novel Ranked Worst To Best

40. Insomnia

Stephen King in It: Chapter Two
Simon & Schuster

Insomnia is a horror novel about a man who struggles to find sleep after the death of his wife and begins experiencing strange and inexplicable visions as a side effect of his sleeplessness. King himself has said he doesn't like the book much, but there's plenty to love all the same, especially when you realise how much of it connects with the epic Dark Tower series.

On top of that, Insomnia is incredibly moving in places, as it switches between strange horror to moments of grief. It's just a bit too long and confusing if you're unfamiliar with the Dark Tower books.
