The House:

Humans have left the surface of the Earth after an apocalyptic event. Seeking refuge underground, they have found a way to live in the darkness. Entering through New York subway tunnels you will venture deeper into the dark where humans and mutants are looking for food. Could you be their next meal?

The Verdict:

Descendants of Destruction was the first house we got to experience of this year's event and it got the night off to a great start.

Things get scarier and more twisted the further you go into the house. Starting off the humans are relatively normal, as you venture deeper beneath the Earth's surface they become more mutated.

The house also gets darker as you go through it all. By the time you exit the maze the main source of light is black-light. If you struggle with the dark, don't worry too much, it's not so dark that you won't be able to see your way.

This house was filled with scares thanks to its slightly claustrophobic nature, which allowed the scare-actors to feel close to you.

The main reason this house features so low for us is that compared to the others, this one is slightly forgettable. Perhaps the run we had wasn't as scary as it could be. We expected this one to be incredibly vicious but it didn't quite reach that. Still, despite this it's not a bad house at all and wouldn't be surprised if for many guests it featured in their top 5.
