iPhone 8: 10 Biggest Leaks & Rumours You Need To Know
7. A 'Revolutionary' New Selfie Camera
Selfie enthusiasts, your Instagram feeds are about to get a serious shot in the arm when the iPhone 8 arrives, as reports suggests it offers a serious camera upgrade.
KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reckons the front-facing snapper on the new handset will be "revolutionary", rocking a form of infrared technology that enables it to detect the location and depth of objects in its field of vision.
Besides upping your selfie game, this also means the iPhone 8 may be capable of providing facial recognition and iris detection for added security.
Somewhat disappointingly, Kuo's report also suggests the handset's rear cameras will remain largely unchanged from the 2016 models, coming with the same dual-lens setup as the iPhone 7 Plus. That's with the exception of the rumoured 4.7-inch model, which is said to scale back on this feature.
