Ranking The Universal Studios Hollywood Rides - From Worst To Best
2. Harry Potter And The Forbidden Journey
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey officially opened its doors to muggles last week. What a ride this is!
Housed in Hogwarts Castle, guests go on an adventure with Harry and his friends through the school grounds and the Forbidden Forest. It's an exhilerating ride where you truly feel like you are flying.
Universal Creatives made the decision when they brought the ride over from the east coast that every aspect of the attraction should be enhanced. From the realness of the Dementors, to the closeness of the dragon, every inch of the attraction was expanded.
The main difference between this ride and its Orlando sibling is the addition of 3D. Universal creative Thierry Coup said he wanted guests to feel that they could reach out and grab the golden snitch that buzzes across the screen. To be honest, you do fell like it's so close you could touch it.
There have been reports that the ride has had on impact on those with motion sickness. You may wish to consider this prior to getting on the attraction, but even if you choose not to ride definitely check out the queue.
Winding through the castle, the queue for Forbidden Journey is an attraction in itself. There's so much detail and hidden objects. You wander through the Defence agains the Dark Arts classroom, Dumbledores Office and the Portrait Gallery. You also run into some of the characters from the films, including The Fat Lady, Dumbledore as well as the franchises three heroes.
Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is an amazing adventure that you must experience.
