Toy Story Land: 5 Ups And 4 Downs

1. It Does What It Needs To Do

Not meaning for this to be a negative, but really Toy Story Land does exactly what it needs to do.

Hollywood Studios has been in desperate need of new areas and attractions for some time. In the week leading up to Toy Story Land opening the park for extremely quiet with only 4 open attractions. Admittedly, Toy Story Land has only really added 2 attractions, but in what has been often referred to as a half day park, a 50% increase in rides will make a big difference.

Ok, it isn't a highly immersive environment like Pandora: World of Avatar, but the land is incredibly well themed and does the job much better than its counterpart at Walt Disney Studios Paris. I was impressed with how the theming looked and loved the details, especially the singing Wheezy who appears at the end of Slinky Dog Dash.

With Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening next year, Hollywood Studios desperately needed places for the increased crowds to disperse to when not in the new land. Toy Story will most definitely provide some rest bite form what will most certainly be a busy park come the opening of Galaxy's Edge.

It could also be argued that Hollywood Studios has also been lacking in some kid-friendly attractions. It's a shame that the two new rides have height requirements in place but they are the lowest two in the park and provide whole family friendly entertainment.

If you are after some good fun with some cute, family friendly attractions then Toy Story Land is most definitely a place you should be visiting.
