Debuting in 2002's Attack of the Clones, clone troopers were the force that protected the Galactic Republic, being led by their Jedi generals. Through the final prequel film, Revenge of the Sith, as well as The Clone Wars TV series, the clones all grew as characters.
Although they all share the same face and voice, the clones became some of the most unique characters in the Star Wars Universe, with a variety of clones defining their legion, battalion, corps, etc. as well as troopers having their own helmet/armour designs and even names.
Clones have become iconic within the franchise, with fan favourite characters such as Captain Rex and Commander Cody.
