We all know 'em and love 'em from Good Will Hunting.

These Boston besties sort to make a name for themselves in Hollywood and penned the sensational script to this 1997 film from a one-act play Damon started writing at Harvard.

Getting the backing was no easy feat but these chums had the clever trick of inserting an inappropriate sex scene between their characters halfway through the script so they could tell which studio had actually read it. As Miramax were the only ones to raise concerns about this scene they chose them to produce the film.

Production was an emotional rollercoaster for the pair and on the very first day of the shooting they started crying out of happiness when watching a scene with Robin Williams and Stellan Skarsgard. Hearing their words spoken verbatim by two accomplished actors after they had waited five long years must have been incredible.

And they couldn't hold their enthusiasm in at the Oscar's either when they won for Best Screenplay, an accomplishment that saw Affleck become the youngest winner at only 25 and Matt Damon the second youngest at 27.
