For almost 6 years, one television show reinvented what it meant to be a drama or musicals kid in high school. No longer were you pushed to the side, forced to accept that cool might not be something you'd ever achieve (if you ever cared about that) - Glee made glee club, singing, performing and generally being theatrical the coolest thing you could be.

Thanks to an intoxicating blend of catchy musical covers, charming characters and tackling the same kind of issues that made the best high school shows so essential, Glee tuned into millennials perfectly. For a while there, the charts toppled to New Directions musical numbers and the stars of the show looked like they had the world at their feet.

And then, in 2015, after 121 episodes and over 729 music performances (and one heartbreaking tragedy), the show came to an end, but the songs and our love for the characters will live on forever. It was a show committed to diversity and representation, and it has earned its place in every fan's heart. Thank you for the music.
