10 Best Managers At 2014 World Cup

2. Fabio Capello - Russia

Sorry, England fans, but the move from Capello to Hodgson can€™t be viewed as anything but a step back, even if Hodgson is a fine manager in his own right. Russia feels like a mystery team, given that their roster is made up all but entirely of players who ply their trade in the Russian Premier League. However, Capello took that team and won their World Cup qualifying group, a group that included Portugal. Capello helped build England back up after they had hit a low point, but of course famously resigned after the FA took the captaincy away from John Terry without Capello€™s approval. England€™s loss was Russia€™s gain. Of course, Capello€™s greatest triumphs came in his native Italy, where he won four league titles and a Champions league with AC Milan, and then he won a league title with Roma just for kicks. He also won two La Liga titles with Real Madrid. Capello is going to stick around for the 2018 World Cup, which is being hosted with Russia. That€™s a duo that could really lead to some major results for Russia, but that€™s for four years from now.
