10 Biggest Football Stadiums In The World

3. Estadio Azteca (Mexico City, Mexico) - 105,064 Capacity

Home of the Mexican National Football Team and the nation's most-successful club, Club America, this stadium was opened in 1966 and renovated in 1985. It is the world's largest stadium purpose built for a domestic club and also one of only two grounds in the world to have held two World Cup finals. On a more positive note, it was also the venue for the 'Goal of the Century' - which saw the genius Maradona take on, what seemed like, the whole of the England side, to score the second in that victory over England. I'm a 24 year old working in insurance; this is not the life I thought I would have as a boy. I was certain I would be playing for England by now, unfortunately I lack the necessary stamina, skill, fitness, strength and technique. However the one thing I do not lack is passion for the game and I am able to, wrongly or rightly, conjure up an opinion about any aspect of the game. Good luck with that.
