10 Biggest Unsung Heroes In Rangers History

6. Craig Moore

So dependable was Craig Moore, than he had more than one successful stint at Rangers over the course of his career. All in all, the Australian defender amassed close to 200 appearances for the Ibrox outfit, and was even made captain in 2003. However, that honour was stripped due to a disagreement with then-manager Alex McLeish. Signed as a youth player from junior clubs in his homeland, Moore scored 14 goals across his Rangers career, but it was his defensive work that fans admired most. Fleeting appearances from 1994-1998 were followed by a brief stay at Crystal Palace. It wasn't long after that the man was brought back to the Gers in 1999, where he stayed until 2005. A lot of Glasgow Rangers fans remember a lot of the players Moore played alongside, such as Richard Gough and Lorenzo Amoruso. It's baffling to think the Australian centre half could be forgotten, but he largely has been over the years. His achievements in blue were many, including being part of the infamous '9 In A Row' team of the 90's.
