10 Biggest Unsung Heroes In Rangers History

7. Sasa Papac

Hanging up his boots after leaving Ibrox in 2012, Sasa Papac came out of nowhere to become a solid part of Walter Smith's second tenure as boss. Signed by the ill-fated Paul Le Guen in 2006, many supporters thought the defender would be gone as soon as Smith came back into the fold. Instead, the Bosnian became a crucial player for the team. Known for his reliability, Papac was rarely injured during his time at Rangers. Even when others around him struggled for form, his somehow remained unwavering. Chipping in with 6 strikes to his name during his time at the club, it wasn't goals that Papac was renowned for, it was his ability to read the game. Never the quickest runner, never the best passer and definitely not the greatest attacking option from set pieces, Sasa Papac still won an impressive run of silverware at Glasgow Rangers. A runner-up in the 2008 UEFA Cup, he also grabbed 3 SPL Titles, 3 League Cups and 2 Scottish Cup trophies.
