9. Scott Quigg vs. Carl Frampton
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7iqShIjWY7I These two undefeated super bantamweights from the United Kingdom are rising stars on the world scene, both at similar stages of their career, and fans in the UK have been calling for them to fight for a long time already. Scott Quigg, of Bury, England, is the current WBA 'regular' world champion, whilst Frampton is a former European champion who vacated his title to focus on gaining a mandatory shot at a world title. Both guys can bang, so it could be a case of who has the best game plan or whose chin holds up. Whilst offers have been made from each sides to one another in the last six months, the stumbling block has been promotional and broadcast conflicts. Quigg is signed to promoters Matchroom Sport, who have a broadcast contract with Sky Sports, whilst Frampton, promoted by Cyclone Promotions, has a deal with broadcaster BoxNation. Add to that each party wanting to promote the fight; Team Quigg wanting it in Manchester on Sky Sports, whilst Team Frampton wanting it in Belfast on BoxNation, then it's very difficult for them to agree given the egos involved. And I haven't even mentioned purses. It's a relatively complicated mess, which is frustrating as fans don't want to debate who is the best between the pair, they just want each side to be reasonable, come to some sort of compromise and get the fight on.
