In 1991, ex-heavyweight champion Larry Holmes returned from a three-year exile to beat Tim Anderson within two minutes. A smartly dressed Trevor Berbick - who Holmes defeated ten years earlier - was spotted at the post match press conference, which prompted questions from the media of whether Holmes would fight Berbick again. Holmes dismissed the question, saying, “That's not going to happen. I beat him once, won every round and I don’t like his attitude.” He then left the room.

Upset at Holmes’s dismissal, Berbick began accusing him of having a mistress who - in cohesion with Holmes - he believed was responsible for the breakup of his marriage. Once the 'The Easton Assassin' got wind of the accusations, he returned to confront Berbick and a scuffle broke out between the two, which was quickly broken up by the police.

Following the altercation, Berbick was ranting to the camera about how Holmes attacked him when out of nowhere, a bloodthirsty Holmes appeared, ran along the roof of a nearby stretch limousine and performed a suicide dive off the bonnet of the vehicle - landing heavily on Berbick and wiping out a number of policemen and reporters as well.
