6. Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort - UFC 126
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nhkoqvXMd9kAlthough he's most recently been in the headlines for failing a drug test, it wasn't long ago that former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva was considered to be the greatest mixed martial artist of all time.
The night that really cemented that claim for many was when 'The Spider' took on Vitor Belfort in 2011. The anticipation for the bout was at a fever pitch, due to many believing Belfort's dangerous knockout power would force Silva to fight properly something many had accused him of not doing in some of his previous title defenses.
This wasn't the case this time as Silva slowly stalked Belfort before sending his left foot into Belfort's face with a front kick, making his fellow Brazilian fall onto his backside due to the power of the strike. Silva followed up with ground 'n' pound but probably didn't need to as it looked as if Belfort wasn't quite sure where he was following the killer blow.
Although Silva had successfully beaten everyone placed in front of him, this was the knockout that made fans give him the respect he truly deserved.
