10 Deflating Things That Always Seem To Happen To Spurs
10. Not Giving Managers A Chance
Spurs go through managers like a hot knife through butter. In the Premier League era alone, the club has had no less than thirteen full time managers in addition to six spells with caretaker managers in charge. When you consider that adds up to a total of eighteen different management eras in 22 years, you see the point. The club just don't give managers a decent chance. Managers need time and, before they know it, they're shown the door before they get a chance to make their mark. Success doesn't come overnight and you'd think the backroom staff at White Hart Lane would know this. Every time a manager gets sacked, Spurs fans breathe a collective sigh of deflation and think to themselves "another one bites the dust". Just once, a manager who doesn't bring instant success should be allowed to continue his long-term plan.
