10 Footballers Who Played For Both Barcelona And Real Madrid
1. Luis Figo
There was only ever going to be one man who could top this list. In terms of sheer impact, controversy, and worldwide coverage, few transfers have captured the imagination quite like when Figo moved from Barcelona to Madrid in 2000.
After leading the charge for Barca and guiding them to multiple league titles, the Ballon d'Or winner couldn't resist making the jump to Madrid and their 'Galacticos'.
The move caused outrage among the Barcelona faithful, who took it as the ultimate betrayal.
Pigs' heads, among other things, were pelted at Figo at every opportunity when he returned to the Nou Camp the following season, in scenes which haven't been replicated since.
Figo, however, will find justification in his move to Madrid given he won two La Liga titles, before getting his hands on the European Cup in 2002.
Fans in Catalonia have still not got over Figo's actions to this day, with many of the club's supporters struggling to look past what was seen as such a kick in the teeth.
It remains one of the most talked about moves in football history.
