One massive issue facing Barcelona in the coming season is the knock on effect the World Cup has on some of Barça's stars. Comparing Barcelona to their great rivals Real Madrid, it seems like Madrid have outdone Barca yet again in the transfer market.Toni Kroos was man of the match in the World Cup final and Jámes Rodriguez was the star of the show. As mentioned above, Suarez is a real coup for Barcelona yet even the huge problems he brings might be minuscule compared to the shadow Neymar and Messi could potentially cast on the team as the season kicks off. Neymar was devastated to be part of one of the worst Brazilian sides of all time yet it was his nightmarish injury that brings the most trouble for Barça fans in the coming season. Fans of Neymar will undoubtedly question the health of his mental state after an injury which could have potentially paralysed him. Can he continue on from the fine form he showed in Brazil or has he been set back a few months due to the severity of the injury? Messi cut a forlorn figure when receiving his player of the tournament award and was noticeably crushed after Mario Gotze's wonder goal won Germany the World Cup final. Many commented on the emotion that Messi showed throughout the World Cup as a sign that this was one trophy he sought above all others. It remains to be seen if Messi can shake that disappointment and inspire Barça yet again.
