10 Liverpool Players Who Started With A Bang

10. Jordan Rossiter

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xa4FGWaFKpM Jordan Rossiter has scored for Liverpool and was born in 1997. If that doesn€™t make some of you more seasoned readers feel old and wizened, nothing will. The 17 year old was an unknown outside of Merseyside quarters when he was handed a debut for the first-team against Middlesbrough in a Capital One Cup tie in September. The teenager - who was eight years old when Steven Gerrard held aloft the European Cup in Istanbul - swept home the opener from 25 yards after a shot was parried by Middlesbrough goalkeeper Nathan Blackman. It was a huge moment on a momentous occasion for the boy, and he duly wheeled away in sheer delirium. The game finished 2-2 after extra-time, but the Reds progressed to the next round courtesy of a bizarre 14-13 penalty shoot-out in which several players were forced to step up to the spot twice. The tie will be remembered for a crazy shoot-out that seemed like it would never end, but for Rossiter, it is a game that will understandably live in the memory for an entirely different reason.
