10 Major Issues Individual Spurs Players Need To Improve

It's safe to say that the best way to describe Spurs' start to this season has changed dramatically over the past few weeks. After a start that could easily be described as "excellent" - with two Premier League wins out of two and four wins out of four in all competitions at the beginning of the season - the campaign suddenly turned in to one best described as "mixed", with a number of domestic draws and a couple of defeats mixed in with wins in Europe. However, after Sunday's home collapse against Newcastle United, Spurs dropped to eleventh in the table and the season so far can now only be described as "bad". In truth, there are no excuses for this. A new manager needs a transition period - of that there's no doubt - but that should at least involve consolidating the level of the previous season. Spurs haven't exactly made so many changes to the playing staff that the players on the pitch don't recognise each other, and the quality and depth of the squad is such that the club should not be in the bottom half of the table at this stage of the season, but something is obviously wrong. Certain individual players are lacking important playing components for starters - some of which, if they were improved even slightly, would dramatically improve the team's performances on the pitch as a whole.
