10 Modern Spurs Legends Tottenham Fans Idolise

7. Paul Robinson

Paul Robinson has arguably been Tottenham Hotspur's most consistent goalkeeper in the post-2000 era - at least in the years before Hugo Lloris' arrival. He made 137 league starts for Spurs - even scoring a goal against Watford on one occasion - and he played a further 38 times in other competitive games. During his time at Spurs, he cemented his place as England's number one goalkeeper (though his debut for his country did come at Leeds United before he joined the White Hart Lane club) and played for the Three Lions at World Cup 2006 in Germany during that time. However, what really makes him a legend among the Spurs faithful is his brilliant banter. It wasn't unheard of for Robinson to instigate chants of "stand up if you hate Arsenal" during and before games - something which he recently brought back when he played in Ledley King's testimonial match in May of 2014.
