Inarguably one of the most talented point guards in the history of the NBA, Isiah Thomas will also as one of the most despised players ever. He first courted controversy as the alleged ringleader of the 'freezing out' of a rookie Michael Jordan in the 1985 All Star Game, which saw MJ's Eastern Conference teammates refuse to pass him the ball, apparently bitter at the incredible amount of attention received by the talented youngster. Thomas continuously refuted these claims, but was left out of the 1992 USA Olympic Basketball Team (commonly referred to as the 'Dream Team' due to their dominance), apparently as a consequence of his strained relationship with central figure Jordan. He even caused a minor race row in 1987, claiming that if Larry Bird was black, he'd be regarded as a far less remarkable player.
