This summer might have seen some well-publicised friction between Newcastle and West Ham fans in New Zealand after a minority of idiots clashed, but the two sets of supporters should be united in their feelings about Alan Pardew. Not long after he was sacked by West Ham - after a dismal run of results that makes his current form look even worse - The Sun newspaper published a report detailing the media training sessions he was put on by West Ham at the cost of £2k. In them, admittedly in jest, Pardew referred to West Ham fans as f*cking w*nkers who should all f*ck off - probably not the best thing to do while at media training, and in front of actual recording cameras. Whether he really felt that way about the fans or not, his performance made it an awful lot easier for the Hammers to take it to heart, and they turned on him just as the club's new owners would.
