There have been some great players on the books at Tottenham Hotspur over the years. When these players leave - for one reason or another, whether it be for a better offer, for a new challenge, because of injury or retirement - it's generally a sad time. In the case of some others, their departures come (or would come, assuming they haven't actually left yet) as a welcome relief for fans of the club.
