Some people might think of Jackson Martinez as a potentially risky signing for Spurs - after all, Roberto Soldao was a Spanish international with a phenomenal goalscoring record in La Liga prior to becoming a White Hart Lane flop - but in Martinez's case you would have to say he was worth a gamble. If Soldado's scoring record was good, Martinez's is something else. The Colombian international striker has been at Portugal's FC Porto since the summer of 2012 and, in that time, he's made 72 league appearances for the Lisbon giants (71 of which have been starts) and scored 56 goals. He has also scored 12 in 24 other competitive matches (23 of which were starts), giving him a total of 68 goals in 96 games overall - an unbelievable record at any level. Spurs have been linked to the player but would apparently face rivalry from the likes of Liverpool.
