10 Players Who Stole A Living From Spurs

10. Goran Bunjevcevic

Spurs signed the then 28 year old Goran Bunjevcevic from Red Star Belgrade for £5 million in the summer of 2001. The Serbian international defender, who was brought in by Spurs legend Glenn Hoddle, arrived at White Hart Lane with replacing Sol Campbell in mind and was described as "a Franz Beckenbauer type player" - but he showed nothing of that level of quality during his time in London. He was at the club for one month shy of five years and, in that time, he only made 41 league appearances - essentially a single season's worth of games, meaning he spent four years of his five years at the club not actually playing. Other than that, his only other appearance - of which there were only seven - came in the League Cup. He never scored for Spurs and was nothing more than a waste of £5 million.
