There isnt a lot to say about Pablo Barreras short lived career at West Ham; a player whose dazzling potential seemed to fizzle out before he even reached Upton Park. After Barrera shone at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, West Ham immediately snapped him up for a price of £4 million. The Hammers beat a lot of quality teams chasing the skilful winger, a feat that inevitably required more than just meeting his wage demands. This proved to be a regrettable decision as he rarely showed his potential in the single season he played in claret and blue. After only 6 starts, no goals and no assists, he was sold to Cruz Azul in Mexico following an unsuccessful loan spell in Spain.
