10 Footballers Too Good For Their Current Clubs

9. Alexandre Pato - Corinthians (On Loan At Sau Paulo)

Alexandre Pato isn€™t the first high-profiled Brazilian to fall from grace and end up back in his homeland. Injuries have played a major part in the 25-year-old€™s downfall, but he still has enough quality to be gracing one of Europe€™s top leagues. It€™s easy to forget just how highly regarded Pato was. At one time, he was heralded as the man that would lead Brazil to World Cup 2014 glory and often linked with a potential move to Real Madrid. Despite achieving the impressive feat of at least 12 goals for three consecutive seasons between 2008 and 2011, the former Brazil international is now little more than a faded memory. However, those that have monitored his progress back in Brazil will attest that he still has something to give at the top level. Pato is someway short of reaching the heights previously predicted, but his attacking flair would still grace a number of top European clubs. Pato is currently on loan at Sau Paulo for a second successive season. Let€™s hope we see him back in Europe some time soon.
