10 Players Who Will Rule Premier League In 2020/21

2. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

For context, when Bruno Fernandes signed for Manchester United from Sporting Lisbon in January 2019, the Red Devils had just been booed off the Old Trafford pitch after losing 0-2 to Burnley, taking their tally of losses for the season up to eight in the league, and were a whopping 14 points off Leicester City in the hunt for the top four.

By the time the season had wrapped up and Fernandes had worked his magic, United had pipped the Foxes into third place after going unbeaten in their final fourteen games, winning all but five of them. For United, Bruno Fernandes managed to rack up 8 goals and 7 assists in just 14 league appearances, contributing to exactly half of the side's goals scored during his time in Manchester.

Of course not everything can be pinned on the arrival of one player but, in the case of Bruno Fernandes, this is about as close as it can get. His talent is obvious to anyone watching him playing, but what really makes him rule the roost at Old Trafford is his leadership, passion bring out the best of his teammates around him. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have become so much more clinical, the likes of Nemanja Matic has suddenly returned back to the fold and even Paul Pogba looks committed and happy again.

If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to continue pushing United up the table in 2020/21, Bruno Fernandes is going to be his most prized asset again.
