10 Problems Only Football Fans Will Understand

10. Bad Internet Signal In Grounds

On the last day of the season it is quite common to see fans in the stands listening to handheld radios with live commentary from the other games around the league. Whether their team is fighting for the Championship, European qualification or trying to stave off relegation, the TV cameras will always pick out the man with the radio. Radios really are just a last day accessory, rarely seen on any other match day. Fans try to check the scores on other devices such as smart phones or who knows, even iPads for the majority of the season. And with this need to know the other scores of the day comes our first problem for football fans, really bad internet access when in football stadiums! In the days when we are at the 'height' of technology and a supporter still can't check the scores in the games on their accumulator, can we really say that we as a human race have achieved everything we want too? Public places everywhere now seem to offer free WiFi but lets face it, free WiFi for on average 40,000 people could not only prove expensive, but would probably be slow and not really worth the effort. So fans are still forced to struggle with a lack of knowledge and a dependence on word of mouth within the terraces to keep track of other teams performances.
