10 Reasons Liverpool Will Win The Premier League This Year
6. Nobody Is Better On Their Day
Liverpool showed last season that, despite a weak defence and a pretty inexperienced side, when they played to the best very of their ability nobody could live with them. The sheer pace and relentless of their attacks were often a joy to watch, and the way they pressed the opposition and hunted in packs was also great to see. There are so many example to choose from when you think of teams being blown away by Liverpool in 2013/14. They destroyed Tottenham 9-0 on aggregate home and away, were 4-0 up in 17 minutes against Arsenal and their 3-0 victory at Old Trafford could genuinely have been six or seven. They scored five at Stoke, six at Cardiff and enjoyed endless other romps at Anfield. They even blew City away in the first-half back in April. Admittedly they did have the odd off day- the 3-1 loss at Hull was a particular low point- but then every side does. Rodgers and his side have the beauty of knowing that, if they master their game to perfection each week, they will win most times. Some will predictably point to the fact that Suarez is no longer there, but in the games mentioned above he was often far from the star performer for the Reds.
