10 Reasons Luis Suarez Is Irreplacable At Liverpool

8. The Antics

Love him or hate him, there are few characters like him. Luis Suarez is the type of character who, at the age of 27, has been involved in two World Cup controversies, been found guilty of three on-pitch biting offences, caught in a racial dispute, as well as been castigated for diving, play-acting and consistent wishy-washy commitment to his club. He has even found the time to notch 82 goals in 133 appearances, paving the way for a club record £75 million transfer to Catalan giants Barcelona. Treated like a €˜dog€™ by FIFA €“ according to his granny €“ and branded a €˜disgrace€™ by Sir Alex Ferguson, Suarez has divided opinion the length and breadth of the country. Appearing on the front pages as often as the back pages, Suarez has provided entertainment, controversy and colour to what can often be a stagnant and dull Premier League. Never in our years of enjoying Premier League football, did we think we would encounter a repeat offender for the act of cannibalism. A revered icon in Uruguay, and a national villain in Ghana, Suarez is quite simply a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic. Whatever you may think of the enigmatic Uruguayan, life was never dull with the little maestro strutting his stuff in the Premier League.
