*Well, apart from Emmanuel Adebayor, who is blaming his poor performances on his own mother's witchcraft. Spurs' players seem to be in positive mood and saying all of the right things when it comes to speaking out in the media - and that's always a good sign. Summer signing Benjamin Stambouli has actually claimed that Spurs are in with a shout of winning the title - either in the future or even this season! While that might be more than a little ambitious, it at least shows a level of confidence at the club. About catching Chelsea, Stambouli said:
We can do it. Tottenham are maybe not Manchester City or Chelsea if you see the money, but Montpellier were very small. We have talent in the squad. We have some players who have all the mental and technical qualities but now we have to think what we really want
Meanwhile, star man Christian Eriksen believes the club will qualify for the Champions League this season. Eriksen said:
We are just two points off the top four. The route to the Champions League by winning the Europa League is shorter but more difficult. The top four is definitely possible. When you see the teams who should normally be in the top six nowhere near, you realise everything can change and that the league is so tight.
In general, the mood seems to be good - and that's a positive sign that things are going to improve.
