Christian Eriksen is Spurs' best outfield player - very few people would argue with that - but there have been doubts about his fitness and his ability to last a full match. All of those fears were cast aside after his performance in the recent victory at Hull City. Referring to his 90 minutes on the pitch at the KC Stadium - a match in which he scored the winner in the dying seconds - Eriksen had this to say:
Every player wants to play more than 45 minutes but it's the decision of the coach. You have to work hard. I had the chance today and I showed that 90 minutes is good for me. The last two games I was pulled out after 45 minutes. Luckily I got a little bit more. I tried to show the respect and the confidence to play a bit more. I am a player who loves to have the ball. I don't think you have anything of me if I don't have the ball. Luckily here I could get the ball a lot and I tried to create some good chances. At the end luckily we got the three points.
He is starting to show some decent form and fitness and is making his national team manager Morten Olsen eat his words, after Olsen criticised him for his development, fitness and impact on the pitch in a recent game.
