It is fair to say that Manchester United have so far, had a terrible transfer window that has not seemed to get going under Louis Van Gaal. Obviously, there is still two weeks remaining but their fans would have hoped for a stronger line up that played against Swansea in their opening day defeat than what they witnessed. Lingaard, Blackett, Smalling, Jones, Fletcher and possibly Hernandez all started against Swansea and many would argue that they are all replaceable. Even their bench, which featured Nani, Keane, Amos and James lacked any real quality or depth and looked very disjointed in the opening 45 minutes of their opening start to life under Van Gaal. If no more arrivals happen before Sunday then Sunderland must take this opportunity to try and go for all three points against United as this could be the perfect time to play against a team who failed to finish in the top four last season. If Sunderland can get off to a flying start and they name a similar team they could fold under the pressure with an inexperienced defence and a weak midfield in comparison to what they have had in the past.
