It's getting to the point where we really should be doing something about the environmental crisis that will inevitably destroy us all. The world's continued commitment to fossil fuels, and the West's complete obsession with CO2-churning cars is clearly unsustainable, and yet we persist. Hey, it's a problem for a future generation, right?

That's not the right attitude! How many of us could comfortably run to work if we set off a little earlier? How many of us could manage it even if we didn't? Obviously, a commute of 30 minutes or more and it becomes a little impractical, but what's to stop us running to the bus stop/train station instead of relying on a car? Yes, it's less convenient, but you do get the benefits of a run into the bargain!

Even if you absolutely MUST use a car to get to work, what about all those short trips where you could do without? Think about it: what's an extra five minutes to get to the shops? Unless it's closing time, there's no great rush. You'd be helping the environment, AND saving on petrol. Win-win, right?
