2. Packers - Seahawks...It's Good?
A picture's worth a thousand words, and this one summed up everything about the replacement refs. During the referee strike of the past season, football fans were subjected to blown calls, missed plays and general below-average performances by replacements. But the game between the Packers and Seahawks on Monday night just sealed the fact that sometimes one needs a professional's touch. During the final seconds, with Seattle down 7-12, receiver Golden Tate shoved a defensive back aside, just as Packers' M.D. Jennings intercepts the ball in the endzone. Jennings and Tate took hold of the ball, and crashed together to the ground, both holding on for dear life. And in a picture that defined the season, the referees couldn't come to a consensus. They eventually gave the touchdown to the Seahawks, and the rage of football fans everywhere brought back the real refs with high praise. Unfortunately for the replacements, the above photo is not going anywhere.
