There is absolutely no doubt whatsoever that Roberto Soldado has totally underperformed since he arrived at White Hart Lane. The once prolific Spanish international striker has only scored a handful of Premier League goals for Spurs - none of which have come this season and most of which came from the penalty spot this season - but he can't actually be blamed for that. Soldado gives his all every time he is on the pitch and Spurs are undoubtedly a much better team when he plays. His hold-up and build-up play is second-to-none and you can see that he is getting very frustrated that it isn't working out for him - but the fact is Spurs don't play to his strengths. Give Soldado a partner up top and provide him with crosses from the wings and he will score goals. Alone up front in a 4-2-3-1 formation and having his team play so narrow denies him the opportunity to play his best football. He definitely deserves the chance to show what he can do properly.
