That's because United seemingly valued Fellaini's former Everton colleague Leighton Baines at £0.5 million. The Red Devils made a joint bid of £28 million for the Toffees duo last summer but were knocked back in their advances, instead signing just Fellaini for £27.5 million. Which is puzzling considering it really doesn't add up. How Fellaini can be perceived to be worth that much is baffling - his off-the-boil performances for the club last season notwithstanding.
