9. He Started His Career As A Left Winger
Really. Abdennour started his career at Tunisian club toile Sportive du Sahel in 2008. Despite his size and the style of play he displays today, Aymen started out as a left winger. You would have to believe that the Tunisian international was more in the Jonathan Walters mould of attacking wide man than an Eden Hazard... It was during this time however that he was converted into a centre back and his ascension to the upper reaches of the domestic game began. The Monaco man was registered as a Sahel player right up until 2011, but he did spend six months on loan at German side Werder Bremen although his six appearances for Die Werderaner didn't convince them to sign him permanently. Aymen made 33 appearances for his first club, scoring six goals before he was sold to Toulouse.
