10 Top Players Entering The Final Year Of Their Contracts
3. Anthony Martial (Manchester United)
Considered one of Europe's hottest young talents when he signed for Manchester United on deadline day back in 2015, Anthony Martial's career has since taken a bit of a downward turn. His early appearances in the Premier League were very promising and it seemed like United had tied down a potentially world class talent who would be with them for many years, but now, with 12 months left on Martial's contract, his future is completely up in the air.
Martial netted 17 times in all competitions in his first year in England but could only manage 8 in his second season and 11 in his third. He still shows flashes of brilliance now and then, but has been given fewer opportunities on the pitch since José Mourinho took the reigns at Old Trafford. The emergence of Marcus Rashford and the arrival of Alexis Sanchez have also made it harder for Martial to get the game time he needs.
United do have the option of extending the Frenchman's contract for another year, but that doesn't seem too likely at the moment. With Juventus and Tottenham said to be circling, Martial might not be a Manchester United player too much longer.
