10 UFC Fighters Who Need To Retire

6. Josh Koscheck

"Kos" isn't the most well-liked fighter in the UFC. Far from it. So perhaps that's why you haven't heard a ton of people calling for his retirement: they like seeing him get beat up. We loved it when GSP gave him his comeuppance at UFC 124 back in 2010, punching him in the eye socket for a solid 25 minutes and obliterating his orbital bone (Koscheck was unable to board a plane after the fight due to the injury, with concerns that pressure changes during the flight could complicate matters, and had to be driven home to the United States from Canada). That said, Koscheck has reached the point where his recent performances are concerning. He lost a close decision to Johny Hendricks in 2012 that he probably should have won, but since then, he has been knocked out twice, brutally by Robbie Lawler, then again by Tyron Woodley. Both came in the first round. Koscheck also has the most UFC fights of any active fighter with 23 (tied with Frank Mir) - and is 15-8 in those bouts. At 0-3 in his last three fights, another loss and he'll almost certainly be done in the UFC - but honestly, Koscheck would be wise to call it a career now, before more damage can be done. He's fought for the belt, lost to the best, and he's not getting another title shot.
