10 Worst Back To Back NBA Draft Picks Of The Last 10 Years

8. Wesley Johnson Before DeMarcus Cousins

DeMarcus Cousins was the fifth pick in the 2010 NBA Draft. The big man from Kentucky was surrounded by rumors of attitude problems, which came into full light when he joined the NBA. Yes, Cousins earned a lot of technical fouls when on the Kings and he was really frustrated during his seven seasons with the team, but his emotional reactions are really understandable when taking into account how the organization surrounded him with mediocre players and coaches that didn't know what to do with his enormous talent. The Kings have a rich tradition of wasting away their picks. Even when they make the right choice, they still make the worst of it.

The fourth pick in 2010 belonged to the Minnesota Timberwolves. The team had a good center in Al Jefferson, so they decided on a presumably NBA-ready, athletic shooting guard/small forward. However, Johnson was also lanky and relied too much on his jump shot. After seven seasons in the NBA these are still his main weaknesses. He has never averaged 10 points a game and didn't stay on a team for more than two seasons. What makes this pick even worse is that the Timberwolves traded away Jefferson less than a month after the draft.
