QPR midfielder Joey Barton, was sent off for elbowing Carlos Tevez in the last game of the 2011/12 Premier League season. Once Barton was shown the red card he then went on to kick Sergio Aguero to the ground, which caused a huge reaction from several Manchester City players. The initial elbow on the Manchester City striker was a clear assault on Tevez, which was made worse by the scenes that it led to.
